I’ve been training with John with kettlebells for 6 months and I’ve totally transformed my body. I went from 26% body fat to 18%! My husband can’t take his eyes (or hands) off of me! Kettlebells are the wave of the future in terms of total body conditioning. Thanks John!!

Where are the classes located? I started a class at work but had to drop out due to needing Physical Therapy for an existing shoulder injury. Would like to start up again when all is resolved.

Hey John, this site looks great. I’ll definitely try my best to do your certification. Take it easy, i’ll see you around Core Solutions.

Hi…I love the website. I check it out often. I just started changing my life for good. One of my toughest times is always the holiday season with the rich delicious food, sweets (oh those yummy cookies) and the parties. So many people say, “can’t you treat yourself?” Any advice?

Hey John!!! Just wanted to let you know I will be there at your certification weekend! Thank you so much for putting this on!
December 5, 2008 at 2:19 pm
Kim Williams,
John’s kettlebell classes are located at Core Solutions (the fitness training center that John and I are trainers at). Core Solutions is in Westbrook on Bridge street in the old Dana mill building. Walk in, first door on the right! John’s classes are great and people love them so I hope you attend some!
To everyone that reads this: Sign up for John’s kettlebell certification! I am signed up and looking forward to it!

Kathy,
You can have everything during the holiday season just not as much. Most often the problem is from all the little things before that BIG MEAL! Try to burn 1000 calories in the gym with me and then just take smaller portions at the dinner table. There really is no reason not to have the things you love, just don’t be consistant with them.
December 5, 2008 at 9:51 pm
Hello Kim,
Kettlebells are known for helping many types of shoulders injuries. I would start on Thursday night with Kelly and her beginner class. If you feel better and want to keep going then come to one of my advanced classes. I think you will find that once you try this type of training you will be hooked!!!
Hope to see you soon in my class!!

i just came across this website: http://www.healthcastle.com/holiday_foods_shocker.shtml
it lists the amount of calories in common holiday foods and some tips for how to minimize the amount of calories you consume at holiday meals. looked good to me.

January 30, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Hey John thanks for a great class today! I have to admit when I signed up for the class at Unum I was so scared! I went on Tuesday and thankfully survived. Today I loved it! I had so much energy all day. It’s your Kettlebell class, I’m sure of it. Your instruction is great, you take care in educating us with proper form, you’re encouraging and you pay attention to each individual. Thanks again!

Thank you so much Tracy. It’s comments like yours that make me love what I do. Thank you so much for your support

Hey, John- I finished the Mid-Winter 10-mile classic in Cape Elizabeth today with a time of 1:56:36 (11:40 min pace). This race is considered one of the hardest races due to the multiple killer hills and cold temperatures. I have included a map of the course for you to check out: http://www.mainetrackclub.com/MidWinterMap2007.pdf
During the race, I was running with a friend of mine (who was always a faster runner than I) and soon after mile 2 I passed her. At the finish, I saw my friend and she complimented me on my pace and how well I ran hills. She said, “just when I was about to catch you we came upon a hill and you took off.”
I am so much stronger and wouldn’t have been able to have a time like this without your help and training. Before I started working with you my average pace was 11:41 for a 5k (3.1 miles) and 10k (6.2 miles). Now I have close to the same pace for the distance races like the 10 miler.
Thank you for all that you do! I know I have more to do and accomplish, but I am always amazed of what I have accomplished so far in 3 months time all thanks to you!
February 4, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Hey John- I just wanted to say THANK YOU. I started with your nutrition instruction in September and to date have lost 25lbs! I honestly couldn’t have done it without you. You stayed tough with me when I needed a reality check and I am incredibly happy with the progress. Loosing my husband last year to ALS was a true eye opener for me with 2 young children…… I am all they have and I plan to be active, healthy and a good role model for them. Thank you!
I have signed up for the Pumpkinman Tri in September so you can’t get rid of me. I am definetly going to need help training! D

Hey John, it was nice chatting with you and Pam, thanks for helping me with my chronic back problem. You know how surgeries and chronic pain can be detrimental to one’s overall health, hard to exercise and stay in shape when you can’t even get out of bed in the morning because of pain. I look forward to your videos you’re gonna put up for me, going out of your way for someone you haven’t even met in person, such an unselfish thing for you to do and it shows that you REALLY care about people….good job man and thanks a bunch. Your friend way way way up north, Launie
February 14, 2009 at 12:34 am
No problem Launie,
Look for the first video this Monday night my friend!

To my husband, my lover, my friend. You work so hard that sometimes I find myself worrying about you… a lot! As I can see you’ve made your mark as a trainer and I can’t say enough how proud I am of you and your achievements. It’s obvious that your clients have an abundance of respect for you…you deserve it!! Keep up the great work. Training with you is an experience that should be had by all. As much as I try to con my way out of not doing some things (ha ha). I Love you with all my heart.
Pammy

you flatter me. I just saw the pic of Jill and I. I appreciate your support and GRUELING workouts that leave me looking and feeling like I was run over by a freight train. But also feeling VERY ACCOMPLISHED! You are an inspiring and enthusiastic trainer who time and time again pushes me just a bit more than I believe I can do. Reminding me and showing me that I have what it takes, as long as I try. Well done Johnny!
September 4, 2009 at 10:34 pm
Thanks Jacked Rabbit. I have to say that the best bootcamps that I have ever had are when you are there!
November 12, 2009 at 4:23 pm
I had my first training session with John this past Saturday, man did you kick my butt. I LOVED IT! I feel like you have really opened my eyes to alternative training methods and styles. You know how I love my triathlon workouts and how stubborn I am about giving them up!! haha Can’t wait for the next workout you have planned for me. Thanks, you ROCK!
